I auditioned Nova for that job and it offers many great features, to the point where it could easily be the only plugin on a lot of tracks, but it's not always my weapon of choice for intense sidechaining.įor this, ReaEQ is still unbeatable AFAIK, thru the use of parameter modulation and the fact that Reaper tracks have up to 64 channels, I can sidechain each band in ReaEQ from a different source and have fine grained control over how the dynamic signal is translated.
